Maggie Lane’s dining room was in the center of her house in between the parlor and front bedroom, and the kitchen at the back. I like that her table was at the center of the house. Whether she intended it or not, I think it conveys the idea that the family table is the center of family life. There is something special in sharing a meal together which has the investment of time, love, money and toil. In spending time together and conversing with one another over good food bonds and memories are formed which help identify us as part of one of the most heavenly realationships – a family.
